The Hatchway Gallery at Florida Avenue Brewing Company Presents:_
Directional Spaces

By Hector René Del Campo

Opening Reception Friday October 3 from 6 pm to 10 pm (Happy Hour 4pm to 7pm)
Exhibition runs: October 3 2014 – November 4 2014

Born in Tampa, Florida, Hector Del Campo received his MFA in 2004 at the University of South Florida in Tampa and BFA at the Herron School of Art & Design in Indiana.  A first generation Cuban-American, Hector has exhibited extensively and taught across the country and is currently on faculty at Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis, Indiana.

My experience at the Jentel Foundation artist residency program this past summer in Wyoming, gave me the time to explore internally and with my surroundings/environment. This time of focus gave a transformative process of thoughts and feelings into a new avenue of work with multiple dimensions/spaces/constructs and creating multiple meanings. With my continued experimentation with the parallelograms, manipulating the assemblage and its geometric constructions.
